How many pull-ups can the average Marine do?
Military Pull-Up Percentiles
Enlistees into the United States Marine Corp must be able to perform at least three pull-ups; however, a score of 50 percent is met with a total of 10 pull-ups completed. Unlike other military athletic tests such as crunches and the 3-mile run, pull-up tests have no set time limit.
How many pull-ups do you have to do in the military?
They have to complete a two-mile run in less than 15 minutes and 12 seconds, as well as a five-mile run in 40 minutes or less. They must be able to perform six untimed pull-ups.
Do Marines have to do pull-ups?

Is 20 pull-ups a lot?
If you do pullups like I just described, 20 in a row is a great standard to aim for. The vast majority of guys can’t do that. If you get to 20 reps, it tends to be a game changer for your upper body strength.
How many miles do Marines run a day?
Men have to complete a 1.5-mile run in 13 minutes and 30 seconds; women have 15 minutes. Both men and women must do 44 crunches in two minutes. The additional Ammo Can exercise does not apply to ALL MOSs for recruits, but all Marines will see it in their future Combat Fintess Test (CFT).
How many pull-ups for Navy Seals?
The minimum is eight pull-ups with no time limit, but you cannot touch the ground or let go of the bar. You should be able to do 15 to 20 to be competitive.

How many push-ups a day is good?
There is no limit to how many push-ups one can do in a day. Many people do more than 300 push-ups a day. But for an average person, even 50 to 100 push-ups should be enough to maintain a good upper body, provided it is done properly. You can start with 20 push-ups, but do not stick to this number.
Can you fail Marine boot camp?
Yes, it is possible to fail basic training. You could go through the trouble of leaving your home, job, family and friends and come back a failure. In fact, this happens to about 15% of recruits who join the military every year. Too many recruits I speak to think that it is impossible to fail basic training.
